Friends, One of the most visible institutions representing Hispanic residents inSarasota and Manatee is the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce. In our next show this Wednesday on WSLR 96.5, Florida-Caribe welcomes César Gómez,executive director of the Gulf Coast Latin chamber, to talk about ourLatin neighbors, migration, the particular interests of Hispanicbusinesspeople in Southwest Florida, trade agreements, and how politics andelections matter to the Latin chamber. César is a Colombian native and lawyer who came to Sarasota asrecently as three years ago. Of course, we will also update you on the ongoing "Three Amigos"meeting in New Orleans, elections and strikes in the Dominican Republic, thefallout of food riots in Haiti, the latest on Venezuela, theEcuadorean-Colombian conflict, and yet another political project emanating fromSouth America aimed at sidelining the United States.
