Disaster Preparedness on WSLR Wednesday 7-9am

Join Gary Olson and Billy Wetherington on Wednesday July 23, 2008 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT.
We’ll be doing our usual reports and commentary on issues and activities in the Sarasota area.

This week we’ll be focusing on Disaster Preparedness in Sarasota. Find out what’s
planned in Sarasota for the day a Katrina or a Charlie make a wrong turn and head our way.

What happens when there’s a terrorist attack, a chemical spill or some other disaster.

What should you do, what will the local authorities do? We’ll have:

Edward J. McCrane Jr., FPEM, Emergency Management Chief, Sarasota County Government,
Major Larry Dunklee from Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and Chief Paul Dezzi from the

Sarasota County Fire Department live in our studio. It should be an informative show.

If you live outside the Sarasota area, you’ll still find the three Chiefs information useful to your safety, so tune

In even if you’re in some exotic place like Lakeland, Punta Gorda, Buffalo or
Clifton Park. You won’t regret it.

You can hear the show by tuning in to 96.5 on your FM dial in the Sarasotaarea. If outside of Sarasota you can hear the show on the world wide web by going to www.wslr.org <http://www.wslr. org/> and clicking on “Live Broadcasting” on the pull down menu and following the instructions.

I hope you tune in and call up. The studio line is 941-355-4540.
