Learn more about US-Latin American Relations on Florida-Caribe

Dear Friends/Queridos amigos:

Tune in this Wednesday, July 23rd, from 9 to 10 am, to WSLR 96.5 FM (www.wslr.org and click on “Live Broadcasting”) for a new edition of the Florida-Caribe show. This Wednesday we will have our usual news briefs from Latin American and the Caribbean, our infamous “news of the weird”, and plenty of music. Our main focus will be past and future US-Latin America relations.

WSLR 96.5 FM is a low-power, non-profit, grassroots community radio station in Sarasota. The station and Florida-Caribe began in 2005. Our aim is to educate people in Sarasota and other parts of the world about our neighborhood, the Caribbean, and Latin America. We cover a wide range of issues, ranging from elections in Haiti, to a Sarasota composer who reports from Puerto Rico, to how the price of tomatoes affects your local Burger King.

Tune in and support non-profit, community radio!!!!!

Pablo Brescia and Johannes Werner, hosts.
