David Sandalow is an expert on energy policy and global warming. He is a former assistant secretary of state and senior director on the National Security Council staff and the author of Freedom from Oil. His areas of expertise include: Energy policy, climate change policy, and oceans’ governance.

Mathew Duss

Background: Matthew Duss is a Research Associate at the Center for American Progress Action Fund, http://www.americanprogressaction.org/ and a blogger for CAPAF’s Wonk Room, where he writes on U.S. foreign policy and national security issues. Prior to joining the Center, he was a research intern for the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a blogger for The American Prospect. Mr. Duss’s articles on Iraq and U.S. policy in the Middle East have been published in the UK Guardian, The American Prospect, The Baltimore Sun, and Foreign Policy in Focus. He co-wrote “The Political Hurdles” for the Progress Report. Mr. Duss received an MA in Middle East Studies from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle. He lives in Alexandria, VA. He can discuss China as a rising economic and cultural force in the world, China’s human rights record, Olympics and impact on hosting country.
