Special WSLR Program on Elected Mayor Campaign
Former Pelican Press Reporter Joe Hendricks will be hosting a new show called, “Local Matters” on WSLR 96.5 starting this Thursday from 6-7pm. This Thursday, Tom Luzier and Susan Chapman will join Joe to discuss the Elected Mayor Charter Amendment that is on the City Election ballot. At the bottom of the hour, Linda Kuhn, the current elected mayor of Sanford (Joe’s former hometown) will be calling in to the show to offer her perspective on an elected mayor and expanded commission. Joe will also have a special series of reports during the next week where he talks to the candidates for the Sarasota City Commission.
Here are the candidate appearance schedules:
Friday, Feb. 27, 10 to 11 am: Pete Theisen and Jay Berman
Monday, March 2, 10 to 11am: Rick Farmer, Robin Harrington and Paul Caragiulo
Thursday, March 5, 6-7pm: Ken Shelin, Suzanne Atwell and Terry Turner
