Tridents Football is a new youth development academic and athletic program based in Sarasota County. It was created by the SixFinger Foundation as an alternative for Sarasota families seeking a 360 degree approach to their child's development. Rather than just focusing on a sport we work with children and their families throughout the entire academic year to ensure both athletic and academic progress. We are preparing to launch our academic support services in September. Our inaugural golf tournament will help support our program.

The Sustainability Secret is a groundbreaking feature-length environmental documentary following an intrepid filmmaker as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – and investigates why the world's leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it. As eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth, this shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet. We need to sell a certain number of tickets by November 6 for this to happen. You can only purchase your ticket online here: Here are a few things that you will learn from watching this movie: Animal agriculture is responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, more than all transportation combined. 1,000 gallons of water are required to produce 1 gallon of milk. Animal agriculture is the leading cause of species extinction, ocean dead zones, water pollution, and habitat destruction. A farm with 2,500 dairy cows produces the same amount of waste as a city of 411,000 people. The leading causes of rainforest destruction are livestock and feedcrops. World population in 1812: 1 billion; 1912: 1.5 billion; 2012: 7 billion. 70 billion farmed animals are reared annually worldwide. More than 6 million animals are killed for food every hour.
