Dig fer Treasure in the Sand, Rat toss and other pirate games. Prizes Galore!!! Water Balloon Tossing, Pirate Tales and Song, Water Pistol Fight, Pirate Costume Contest, Hot Dogs, Pizza, scavenger hunts and come climb aboard a 60ft Pirate Ship.. A fun festival event just for kids! Back in 1954 former Police Chief of Holmes Beach Willis “Snook” Adams started the Annual Kids Day Celebration with only a dozen or so Kids and a couple of pounds of Hot Dogs.. On Friday June 17th at 7:00 pm, Allegro Academy of Music will present a very special young cellist from Chicago in concert in the Recital Hall at 241 Whitfield Avenue in Sarasota. Praised by critics and listeners alike for his warm, luminous sound, expressive phrasing and effortless technique, Daniel Kaler is recognized by many as the rising star of his generation. Following his early graduation from the New Trier High School, Daniel began his studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Professor Mark Kosower, a principal cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra. Daniel has many prestigious National awards to his credit. He has performed with many orchestras worldwide. He has also appeared as the guest artist in recital and chamber music programs at many festivals, and television series throughout the United States. Admission for the concert on June 17th will be free, however donations to the Allegro Student Scholarship Fund will be greatly appreciated.
