Theme Of The Week (alternate Sundays) Each week a new local theme will be explored.

11:00 am – 1:00 pm Big Band Files with Doug Miles. You’ll hear the classic big bands including Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman and Count Basie. Great singers including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme and Peggy Lee. Plus you’ll hear contemporary artists that are keeping jazz and American popular standards alive like Ann Hampton Callaway, Jessica Molaskey and Tony Desare. We also invite the artists themselves on the show to talk about their music many of whom live in our listening area. Guests have included Dick Hyman, Steve Lawrence, Nancy Wilson, Andy Williams and Jack Jones.
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm “Sunday Afternoon Jazz” with Bill Spielberg Jazz recordings from the post war period. Emphasis is on the great and varied recording of the 50’s and 60’s be it bop, bebop, mainstream, or traditional.
