WSLR+Fogartyville Part-Time Office Manager Job Description (Posted June 20)

Part-time; 25 hours/week;  12-5pm weekdays

Proposed Start Date:  Monday, July 25, 2022

Compensation:  $15/hour

Overall Responsibilities:   The Office Manager assists the Management Team, staff, and Board of Directors of WSLR+Fogartyville with all Administrative, Business and Volunteer Management functions. 

Administrative Duties

  • Provide general information on our services to the public 
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence 
  • Organize and maintain office files (electronic and physical) 
  • Prepare documents/reminders for the Board of Directors and other meetings.
  • Monitor office supply needs 
  • Assist in keeping social media content fresh, compelling, visually appealing.
  • Set up ticketing for events 
  • Advance scheduling of radio programs on automation computer
  • Ensure Public Service Announcements are up to date
  • Update WordPress-based website
  • Send out new member welcome packets
  • Follow up on credit cards that did not process
  • Assist the Management Team, Board and other staff with special projects 

Volunteer Coordination Duties:

  • Actively recruit volunteers for special events and projects 
  • Handle volunteer communication (ROBLY)

Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team

KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Three years related work experience in an office setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Social media experience and skills, with a track record of managing multiple social media platforms and several events per year.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to write to deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to interact successfully with donors, Board members, volunteers, work colleagues, state employees, and the public at large.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Familiarity with google drive; spreadsheets; word processing programs
  • Bilingual English-Spanish desirable.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT

Work is performed in a typical office setting and requires only minor physical exertion and/or physical strain.
