Save WMNF, is a group of concerned WMNF “Radio Activists”, volunteers, programmers, supporters, and listeners of WMNF Community Radio 88.5 FM-Tampa. They are working to roll back what they perceive to be harmful changes including the dismissal of the Station’s star journalist Rob Lorei, and the forcing off of the air of Two Worlds Indigenous Radio, Latino daytime programming, the breakup of the Black talk block on Sundays, and the move towards commercialization, and other recently enacted decisions by the general manager, now gone, and a staunch group of conservatives who have gained control of the Station.
Save WMNF in conjunction with WSLR presents an evening with Rob Lorei. Rob was co-founder of WMNF Community Radio in 1979, is a renowned journalist with over 40 years of experience, and is the Managing Editor of Florida This Week on WEDU-TV, Tampa Bay’s longest-running prime time public affairs program.

The evening will start with the film ‘KPFA On The Air’ about the first community radio station in the United States. Rob will speak on the parallels between KPFA and WMNF, community radio stations.
