Sarasota Folk Club Monthly Concert – Dean Johanesen & The 24 Hour Men are the featured act
The group features Dean Johanesen on guitar and vocals, Mark Pezzo on upright bass and Max Kelly on percussion with an occasional special guest appearance by Jason Baker in violin.
The monthly Folk Club Concerts are a Sarasota musical tradition. The atmosphere is relaxed and the folk and acoustic talent is the finest in the state and the nation.
The Open Mic is a mix of local/traveling, amateur/pro, folk artists/song writers; always a surprise. Mindy Simmons hosts the Open Mic. Concerts are held the last Monday of the month, except May and December, which are held on the third Monday.
