Berimbau features Jeff Sack and Rick Peterson on guitar performing a mix of jazz, blues, classic and bossa nova.
Hot Club of SRQ plays Gypsy Jazz that is deeply rooted in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. The music simply swings and is full of beauty and romance! They emulate the style of what the French call “Jazz Manouche” and “Le Jazz Hot” in the style of Sinti virtuosos and the “Quintette du Hot Club de France” circa 1934-1948. Hot Club of SRQ includes Keven Aland (violin), Jon McLaughlin (guitar), Chad Tallman (guitar) and Glenn Stevenson (Upright bass).
The Bridge jazz series is a collaborative project with the Jazz Club of Sarasota and WSLR+Fogartyville. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for local jazz artists to PLAY and reconnect with their audiences while we stay connected to our Jazz Club and WSLR+Fogartyville communities.
This live-streamed event will also allow for a very limited live audience to allow for safe and responsible social distancing.
**Food will not be available for purchase so attendees are able to bring food into the venue. Beverages will be available for purchase.
