Our OPEN HOUSE will feature an intimate evening with Yaya Diamond and Mean Gene on Thursday, March 10th from 6 to 9 pm.   Yaya has a rich musical legacy – she is the daughter of international recording artist Evelyn Thomas, the niece of Opera singer Robert McFerrin and the cousin of Grammy award winner Bobby McFerrin.  Yaya Diamond is currently performing with the #1 Funk band on Reverbnation Reverend Barry & The Funk. She has opened, as a solo act and member of The Crashers, an SW Florida Premier band, for various artists such as Mary Mary, appearing on TV programs BET and the Word Network, multiple times, Aaron Nevil, The Former Ladies of The Supremes, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Here comes the Mummies, Rare Earth, and many more!

Come and learn more about WSLR’s partnership with the Multimedia Alliance to offer creative space to produce podcasts, videos, broadcast quality educational videos, photography, and develop entry level multi-media training and employment opportunities.

The Multimedia Alliance will also develop new and compelling programs to help activate the Fogartyville community space. Special emphasis will be placed on developing resources for creative young entrepreneurs in performance, fashion, and theater arts; building the capacity of community-based non-profit organizations that need training and human resource development space; and engaging senior citizens to contribute as advisors and investors in WSLR+Fogartyville’s human capital community.
