STORIES BEHIND THE SONGS

Music fans will gather to hear a trio of songwriters playing in-the-round in between sharing stories and describing their process.

Gabe Hernandez

Gabe is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ and now lives in Sarasota, Florida. His lyrics are a peek into his most intimate desires, fears, and insecurities. His guitar style is inspired by his love of rhythm, muted tones, and robust chord voicing. With a passion for poetry and music, Gabe is able to paint vivid images of heartache and hope in ways resonant to anyone who has ever allowed themself to love. A few of Gabe’s musical inspirations are Phoebe Bridgers, Noah Kahan, Paul Simon, Adrianne Lenker, City and Colour, and John Mayer.

Lesa Silvermore

Lesa Silvermore is a high-energy indie rock singer-songwriter with a raw, passionate edge. A Florida native with roots in theater, she is at home on stage with a magnetic presence, building a dedicated fanbase through both intimate acoustic sets and powerful full-band performances. Inspired by artists like Joan Jett, Grace Slick, Hayley Williams, and the grit of 90s grunge, Silvermore’s sound blends dynamic tempo shifts, catchy hooks, and groovy riffs into a style that’s both nostalgic and fresh. Silvermore and her band have shared bills with acclaimed artists such as Emmy-nominated musician Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and Canadian singer/songwriter, Alexz Johnson of CTV’s “Instant Star”.

Erne Murphy

Erne Murphy writes and performs “simultaneously heartfelt and terrifying” danceable, electrified songs of dissolution, built live with loops. Influences range from Otis Redding and Patsy Cline to Sharon Van Etten, the Forbidden Planet soundtrack, and Plantasia. Erne’s multimedia folk art odyssey has spanned dance floors, film scores, and collaborative stages across North America, including previous projects the Equines, Teach Me Equals, and RedRumsey, and joyful collaborations with Real Dominic, Andy the Doorbum, and I.G.O.R.. Original compositions have been featured in film. Erne currently performs as a solo ensemble and as part of MXME with singer Shannon Fortner.
