This Week in Local Government

Written by on Sunday, April 28, 2024

This week begins with a neighborhood workshop about a 100-home project in Old Miakka. On Thursday, the Manatee County Commission will probably approve a $3.5 million loan to an affordable-home developer and discuss an 800-home project near Lake Manatee. Next week Monday, there will be a City of Sarasota Commission meeting with a packed agenda. Among others, Vice Mayor Ahearn-Koch would like her colleagues to rescind a vote that added attainable-housing incentives to the comprehensive plan.
