A Casey Key resident, touring the island on his Harley, spoke with WSLR News.

Host: WSLR news reporter Ramon Lopez had a chance to make it to Casey Key, which was flooded for the second time in a matter of weeks.
Ramon Lopez: It’s eerily quiet here on Casey Key as the sun begins to set on the day after Hurricane Milton devastated this part of Florida on Casey Key Road, which is the site of numerous multimillion dollar mansions.
WSLR News spoke to a young man who just happened to be riding by on a shiny new Harley Davidson motorcycle. He owns a house on millionaires row. He describes the amount of damage inflected by Hurricane Milton.

Casey Key Resident: Well, being honest, it’s a lot of sand on the road. It looks almost like it’s even with the beach now. A lot of people lost their properties because at least three feet of sand came inside the garages. It’s a nightmare to get with a motorcycle on the beach on Casey Key road because of all the sand. Definitely would recommend four by four truck. I really wish all the residents on Casey Key blessings and hopefully they didn’t lose too much.
There is around three to four puddles of water, almost a feet [sic] high, I would say. After that, you take a left corner and again a right after that curve — that’s what I call the death curve because they’re around three to four feet of sand on the road. Not possible to ride with the bike at all. We are lucky we have barely sand inside the house because we are on stacks, I would say. The garage is a little flooded, but that’s the worst. Being honest, we are, I am, I got blessed because the house is on stacks, but I see all these neighbors, they definitely got, they definitely lost more.
