REGISTER FOR SESSION ONE: RADIO DJ & MUSIC PROGRAMMING
Immerse your middle school or high school student in the world of broadcast radio for a week this summer!
WSLR Music Radio Camp participants will work with our program director and other community radio experts to learn soundboard operations, basic recording and editing, writing public service announcements, and curating playlists. Throughout the week they will work on producing their own radio shows, which will be broadcast live in our studios on the final day of camp!
WSLR News Radio Camp participants will work our news director and other community journalism experts to learn interview skills, news gathering, writing and recording for broadcast news, and producing their own WSLR News hour-long program, which will air on the final day of camp!
Campers will share their voices, favorite music, and local news with our listeners while gaining valuable communication, collaboration and technology skills — all in the fun setting of our community radio station!
Scholarships are available by emailing: info@wslr.org
