With its Community Journalism Initiative, WSLR aims to support local journalism and ensure that community members have the information they need to make informed decisions about local issues. Community media outlets like WSLR provide an inclusive platform for underrepresented and marginalized voices. At WSLR, we are not afraid of difficult issues. We offer content that provides hope – and challenges perspectives. We believe access to information is critical to a democratic society and we want to expand our local news programming. You can help! A Donation of $5 or more during the A Community Thrives giving challenge will help WSLR qualify for additional grant funding.
