Written by on Sunday, August 23, 2020

Our first guest on the Peace & Justice Report this week was Hannah Karnei, who is on a one-year intensive fellowship at the Patterson Foundation. Hannah is helping with their Census 2020 Education Project. We discused the U.S Census and talk about why it’s important to participate.

If you missed our show just go to archive.wslr.org and look for Peace & Justice!

The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding every year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. And the census is ending a month early on September 30, 2020!

NOTE: The census does not ask any questions about financial information, your social security number or citizenship status. You are only obligated to answer the questions on the questionnaire. See a sample HERE.
