MLK UNITY WALK

Join WSLR Friends and Family as walk with the community to celebrate the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Bring signs with appropriate slogans – ‘Justice Now’, ‘Practice Nonviolence’,  ‘Vote’,  ‘Work for Peace’, ‘Fight for Democracy’, etc.  Feel free to bring drums or percussion instruments so that we can have a rhythm section for the march.

We’ll meet at the Robert L Taylor Community Center at 11am.  It would be wise if you could plan ahead and have a friend leave a car down by MLK park so you’ll have a way to get back to your car at the RLT Center (they also run a shuttle – but you might have to wait a while for it).  Another alternative, ride your bike!
