Performing a concert of Joni Mitchell’s music has been a lifelong dream of Joni Adno’s.She has been singing as long as she has been talking. Encouraged by her drummer/tenor father, she began performing in the church choir at age 5 and continued with chorus and piano studies throughout high school. Studied under Gerson Yesson at the University of North Florida and graduated with a degree in music education with a minor in piano. Her love affair with Joni Mitchell began as a teenager who found comfort in the wisdom and genius of Mitchell’s lyrics and has continued throughout the years. All the decades spent studying the intricacies of Mitchell’s tunings and signature phrasings have now come to fruition in her dream come true, a polished tribute to Mitchell’s soulful artistry.
