On the Peace & Justice Report this Wednesday, October 10, from 9 until 10 a.m., we’ll talk first about the Legacy Trail. Then Ruta Jouniari will talk about the Oct.13 free clinic in North Port October 13 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Community Health and Wellness Fair, 5600 South Biscayne Drive in North Port. She’ll also talk about her race for the Sarasota County Commission.

Note: There is another free clinic in Bradenton this Saturday and Sunday:

Uninsured or under-insured residents can get free medical care with no questions asked this weekend, October 13-14, at Manatee Technical College, 6305 State Road 70 in Bradenton.

Services include blood sugar checks, breast exams, pap smears, HICV testing, flu shots, dental care and eye exams with prescription eyeglasses made on site. “Soles 4 Souls” will offer gently-used shoes.

The Manatee Technical College parking lot will open at midnight Friday night. First come, first served. Clinic starts at 6am Saturday.
