March 28 Save Democracy for All Conference Will Provide Tools to Make an Impact

Written by on Monday, March 23, 2026

The New York Times occasionally invites readers to submit questions about major issues in the current news cycle. A few weeks ago, the news media giant queried: “After the Iran war began, we invited you to submit your questions about the crisis in the Middle East.” Readers questioned the president’s authority, strategy, policy and even the definition of “war,” but the one question that stood out for me was “Can the people of Iran act on their own to create democracy?”

The Times reporter’s response lamented the breakdown of order, the horrors of bombardment, the economic crisis and the stifling of dissent, but didn’t answer the question, perhaps because it’s the wrong question. Rather than ask Iran to “act on their own to create democracy,” why shouldn’t democratic nations help Iran create, and in the process, save democracy for all?

If you find this question interesting, you are invited to a conference on No Kings Day (Saturday, March 28), to learn 5 ways to Save Democracy for All, not just for Americans, but for all nations that enjoy the freedom and justice of self-government by and for the people.

Start the day at the Venice Community Center, 326 South Nokomis Ave. in Venice and become inspired to join local rallies in Venice, Sarasota, and Port Charlotte. Visit our registration page for more information and to join us.
