On Monday, the City of Sarasota Commission will hear a report on the state of Sarasota Bay and establish a budget for the Sarasota Bay Resiliency Initiative, and hear an appeal from a developer after the city’s denial to raze the historic McAlpin house. On Tuesday, the Sarasota school board is expected to approve a myriad of policy changes; the meeting will be preceded by a protest. On Wednesday, the City of Sarasota Development Review Committee will discuss a return of the tallest-tower-in-downtown proposal, a big public housing project in the Rosemary District, and the request of a condo tower developer for the city to abandon an alley.
