“Yesterday’s Dead Today”, Monday, December 23rd, 7-9pm Eastern

Written by on Sunday, December 22, 2019

“It is said that, if you lined up all those who have ever been to a Grateful Dead concert head-to-toe, the line would stretch around the moon, and about halfway back. And nobody would complain!”

In the first hour:
Grateful Dead
Winterland Arena, San Francisco, CA
December 23, 1970

All Transfers and Mastering By Charlie Miller

“Mr. Charlie” Miller combined the two partial soundboards into one fine, fine recording!

  5. Me And My Uncle
  6. Cumberland Blues//

  10. Casey Jones >

REVIEW: Yes Please.
Thank you Charlie. Vocals sound like they are standing in my living room. And it’s 1970. Doesn’t get any
better for me.

REVIEW: nice addtion
So few good recordings from late 1970.

REVIEW: Charlie Miller for President
I know it’s been said before, but Mr. Miller delivers the goods again with this hidden gem in pristine
quality. The band was on, as would be expected from this time period and obviously having a grate time.
Grate music and grate banter too. Much fun.

REVIEW: Beam Me BACK Scotty!!
thanks charlie for putting this one up!! i was there with my two brothers and well remember the plastic
trashcan with APPLE CIDER. this recording has my favorite Dire Wolf AND Jerry extemporizing (SP?)
on Goodlovin. I never felt the boys were quite the same without the beloved Pigpen.

And in the second hour, a decent soundboard, albeit not a “grate” soundboard:
