Being this is the last Songwriter Series for this season, we’ve invited two of our previous Hosts to share the stage with Andres and share some of their experiences and special moments

Discovering his passion for guitar at a young age, Andres Colin began learning the most authentic Mexican repertoire before joining musical groups where he was introduced to many more styles from South America and the Caribbean.

At 15 years old, he formed a rock band as a lead electric guitarist, and a year later began writing songs and spending most of his time fingerpicking his nylon-string guitar.

Andres joined the music program at the University of Guadalajara, where he studied classical guitar and Opera singing.

Invited by his sister, Andres moved to Florida. In the city of Sarasota, he continued his guitar and singing instruction, his live performances at many local venues, and his newly discovered passion for filmmaking which is represented on his YouTube channel.

Using a synthesizer guitar and a loop station, Andres Colin offers a one-man band show as well as the occasional, all-acoustic, intimate songwriting concert.

Johanesen is in the midst of recording a follow up EP to his Cautionary Tales release of 2023. Dean toured up to TN in January and April to begin work on his next record at The Owl Studio in Nashville.

The January session included some extremely talented Nashville players:

Producer and bassist Shawn Byrne of Great Hill Production.
Joe Spivey – Violin ( John Anderson’s Seminole Wind and member of the Time Jumpers,)
Pete Finney – Steel Guitar (Mike Nesmith of the Monkees and Patty Loveless,)
John McTigue III – Drums – (Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams III, Raul Malo of the Mavericks etc.) .

Singer/guitarist multi instrumentalist producer Karlus Trapp describes his sound as musical good vibes .Mixing the eclectic sounds of New Orleans, Caribbean/Jamaican influences with Bluesy rockin funky jamming ,for Trapp it’s all about doing it live. Fearlessly going wherever the urge takes him, he can move naturally between time periods as diverse as the 40’s or the 80’s,effortlessly and seamlessly making it his I own while bringing audiences along for the ride. The Native New Yorker is now makiing fans in his new stomping grounds of southwest Florida for the first time
