Description: In Our Own Backyard centers the stories, creative practices, and lived experiences that already exist within our local communities. This exhibition brings together visual artists across generations, honoring work that is emerging, evolving, and sometimes long held out of sight. Rather than presenting art as a finished endpoint, the exhibition invites audiences to witness the relationships, processes, and connections that shape how work comes into being — affirming the richness and power that lives close to home.
