Performing all over Tampa Bay and throughout the state of Florida and beyond for the past 19 years, Friends of Fil combines straight-ahead Jazz performances with Fiery Fusion and Festival perfomances while mixing in their Originl Music to keep the sound of Soul cookin’!
Currently, the band is performing often in the style of the “Organ Trio” with powerhouse organist Casey Otto on his Hammond with full Leslie speaker and foot pedals! He’s also bringin’ the Bass with his Left Hand in true organ trio tradition! Albert “Newbeat” Warren lays down the Groove, Fusion and swing beats on the Drums like no other! Fil Pate transcends on Electric Guitar adding dense textures and soaring solos plus compositions that push the boundaries of genre and tradition while forging new soundscapes!
