Be in the audience to hear from the two candidates vying for the Democratic nomination in the District 17 congressional race: Allen Spence and Matthew Montavon.
The district includes parts of Sarasota County, all of Charlotte County and parts of Lee County. The winner of the Aug. 18 Democratic primary will face incumbent Rep. Greg Steube (Republican) and Michael Quirk (NPA) in November.
The Aug. 11 forum will be moderated by WSLR News reporter Noah Bookstein. It will be broadcast live on WSLR 96.5 FM and wslr.org.
