Indigenous Sounds Monday 9-11 pm

Written by on Friday, September 23, 2016

Indigenous Sounds is back on the air on WSLR and WBPV, playing Native American music and interviews.

Indigenous Sounds is very proud and honored to have Captain Paul Watson, the leader of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as my very special guest during the 9 pm hour.  Captain Paul Watson was a founding member of Greenpeace and later created the Sea Shepherd Conversation Society.  The Sea Shepherds are best known for the Discovery channel show Whale Wars.  Currently the Sea Shepherds have a campaign in Florida to help Sea Turtles.  The Sea Shepherds have worked with Indigenous people throughout the world and some of those campaigns will be discussed.

During the 10pm hour, my guest will be Olowan Sara Martinez.  Olowan is a protester of the Dakota Access Pipeline.  She was recently arrested and released.  She will be discussing the ongoing protest in North Dakota.
