This Wednesday, August 12 at 9AM, we’ll talk about voting and the United States Postal Service.
In Sarasota County voters may return their vote-by-mail ballots by mail or in person to any of the three elections offices in Sarasota, North Port, or Venice during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, and until 7 p.m. on election night, August 18).
Ballots may also be dropped into secure vote-by-mail boxes located inside all five early voting sites during early voting dates/times (August 8-16, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily). In addition to the three elections offices, early voting locations include the Sarasota Square Mall and North Sarasota Library.
Voters also may take advantage of drive-thru, drop-off points outside all three county elections offices, weather permitting, now through August 16, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily. Drop-off locations are attended by elections staff, and signage directing drivers to drop-off points is posted at all three elections offices.
Ron Turner also urges voters to follow the instructions included with vote-by-mail ballots to ensure their ballots are counted. Voters should complete and sign the certificate on the ballot return envelope and the voter’s signature should match the signature on record.
Voters may track their vote-by-mail ballots at SarasotaVotes.com. To track, click on the “Vote by Mail” icon on the home page, select “Track your Vote-by-Mail Ballot,” and follow the easy instructions.
