There are some thirteen versions of this evening in the Archive, with almost no reviews. These reviews are from
Charlie Miller’s version:
REVIEW: Worcester Centrum Downloads
I guess this is a matrix probably from the FM broadcast of the show. As to the excess crowd noise: I had a
soundboard from an ’85 centrum show and the crowd noise is just as loud. I think the boys liked to play here and
the crowd was always jacked up. I was at this show, my second, and it was and still is in the top 3 for me. I only
made it to 49 shows after this, but I always matched up the scarlet/fire to this one….this one always wins!

REVIEW: CM Matrix
I didn’t do this matrix, it’s from the band’s tapes. They were mixing a lot of audience in the board mixes for the
recordings on this tour.

REVIEW: So High
Well if this is a soundboard it’s the most Audience soundboard I’ve ever heard but honestly I wouldn’t have it
any other way for this show. The energy of the the crowd to band and back is that intense. The best example of
what it was like to be at a dead show I’ve heard yet. If you are looking for rip roaring GD look no further this is
it, start to finish. Thank you CM and all involved with this recording. Didn’t realize CM did matrix very nice
indeed.
Wow bgthebear, this was also my 2nd show and yes I too consider this a benchmark S-F.
Thanks for the clarification CM. Makes sense now I kinda like it actually although I guess it means, since they
did it this way, there is not much chance of a pure soundboard version appearing.

REVIEW: Birdsong through Fire
I’ll admit to whatever bias comes with having attended this show, in my earliest days as a head. True too, that
the first half of set 1 and post drums is standard fare on paper. That said, lots of the versions of commonly
played songs are well done and energetic. The guts of this show rocks, though. the 40 minutes of music of
birdsong, music never and scarlet fire is absolutely top notch stuff – comparable with versions that make peoples
favorites lists.

Note:
Encore is on end of 1st Set to fit show on 2 discs
