From the Global Youth Service Day to the Sarasota Film Festival

Join us this Thursday on Renaissance SRQ as we talk about the Community Youth Development's SRQVolunteen program and the upcoming Sarasota Film Festival.

First up, we'll speak with Suriya Khong, CYD’s Coordinator for Volunteer Programs, and Andy Gonzalez, a junior at Cardinal Mooney High School about the Global Youth Service Day on April 17-19. GYSD is a worldwide effort to engage young people in in community service; this year's theme is "Plug Into Green," with activities focusing on the environment. CYD is actively seeking youth volunteers to make this program a success.
