Hello Radio Land! Well I should start off my introducing myself because believe it or not it is something that I have not thought about until recently. My name is Gypsy and yes Gypsy like a free spirited person who travels from place to place and lives life through a beautiful and magical world. This week, Lew and Steve will be learning more about social entreprenuership from Lorena Garcia Duran, south Florida director of Ashoka. Last time, she told about how Ashoka fellows, called Changemakers, are nurtured by the organization. On this show, she will introduce two Changemakers who tell their own stories: Joey Green, a Miami high school student has organized a plastic bottle recycling program that helps students save for college, and Conchy Bretos, who has devised an alternative to nursing homes to house seniors needing care.
