The only reviews from this recording:
REVIEW: patch in Eyes
At about the 8 minute mark amidst the last verse in Eyes, this recording goes from SBD to a muted, distant
AUD. By 8:21, returns to SBD, and continues til the end (11:28). This is a decent Eyes, Weir tends to outshine
Garcia on it, though JG comes up with a some new, interesting sounds near the end.

REVIEW: Interesting Eyes
Granted, this is from the mostly subpar late 1978 period, so don’t expect anything earth shattering here. But
since Keith Godchaux was barely a musical factor at this point, Weir REALLY steps out on Eyes Of The
World, briefly reclaiming the musical space he lost in 1971. Though he doesn’t step headlong into the abyss by
taking a lead, his harmonic work coupled with Jerry’s rapid stylings characteristic of the period make this a
noteworthy performance.

REVIEW: Dig a little deeper
I was at this show, 4th row, and have listened to it hundreds of times. You are overlooking some of the
sweetest playing around. The Peggy-O is one of my all time favorites. The jam in Music Never Stopped is also
tremendous, really precise jamming. The transition from Miracle into Bertha is the tastiest on record, and the
tease of Morning Dew just before Shakedown is worth listening for.

REVIEW: Peaches & Brandy
Sweet And Intoxicating And With A Spark Ready To Catch Fire. Everybody Seems To Be On The Same Page
And The Show Is Captured In The Friendly Confines Of The Fox By The Goddess Of Sound With The
Magical Ear. Betty Cantor Jackson. One Wonders What A Betty Board Of The Previous Night In Nashville
Would Do To Us. I Hate To Rate, Yet For The Show A 4. For The Sound Quality Despite Edits A 5. Always
Round Off Too The High Number Sooooo..

These reviews aare from the Joani Walker-Paul Scotton audience remaster by none other than Charlie Miller:
REVIEW: Thanks Joani
I was at this show and saw a taper and introduced myself to Joani. She kindly spun me a cassette off her master
and mailed it to me back at UVa….eternally grateful Joani, this has always been one of my favorite shows. I
particularly love the transition from Miracle to Bertha….some of the best stuff ever. Thanks Joani.

REVIEW: echoing praises to Joani
I never met Joani, but every day on my site I post the shows of the day from GD, pheesh, and Zero history, and
I add the taper attribution. So I’ve I’ve typed Joani’s name thousands of times and listened to hundreds of her
shows. Can’t thank you enough for your contribution to taping history. Cheers!

REVIEW: Uncle Bobo is really going to close it this time
Nothing about this show really jumped out in the 1st set at me. I enjoyed They Love Each Other & Peggy-O,
but otherwise average, I wasn’t even going to review this show. Then they started to smolder in the second set !
Really nice Estimated/Eyes etc. but loved the Drums, and in the space, is that a bit of Ollin Arrageed I hear ?
Shakedown into the Sugar was sweet also. I really enjoyed the post show interview also. Very nice ! Overall
4**** !! Thank you 🙂

REVIEW: well well you can never tell
Has good tune selection especially like having Ramble On Rose in Second Set and Shakedown coming out of
drumz. Disco mosh pit in 78???- probably not.

The SBD of this show is slightly degraded. The AUD recording (mastered by Bob Wagner) used for the patches
is good, though it has a fairly high amount of crowd noise.
