Johannes Werner: Last but not least, here is the Activist Calendar by Naomi Alexis.

Host: This is Naomi Alexis with your Activist Calendar. The next Sarasota School Board meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30pm at the School Board Chambers, 1800 Landings Boulevard in Sarasota. School Board meetings are open to the public and held on the first Tuesday at 6:30 and the third Tuesday at 3pm.

The superintendent of Sarasota schools, Terry Connor, will be hosting a listening tour to gather information from the public and district employees. The next meeting is on Tuesday, August 29th at Booker High School, 3201 North Orange Avenue in Sarasota.

The Multicultural Health Institute community coalition meets on Facebook Live on Tuesday, September 5th, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. MHI is dedicated to engaging communities to self advocate for equal health care access, and close the gap for the underrepresented communities. For further information you can visit www.the-mhi.org.

Reminder for tonight at 5pm, August 25; the traveling exhibit, “The Focus on Abortion” evening reception takes place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota, 3975 Fruitville Road. The exhibit features personal stories of abortion or the intention of widening public understanding. More information about the event and exhibit can be found at www.uucsarasota.com.
