Our first guest on Wednesday March 30 at 9am will be Walter L. Gilbert, III. Mr. Gilbert will talk about the historically African American communities of Newtown and Overtown (the latter now called the Rosemary District). A long-time resident and community leader, Mr. Gilbert also narrates the trolley tours of Newtown.
Our second guests will talk about the upcoming Sarasota Film Festival. Rodney Piatt is one of the programmers who has been helping to select the 200 films offered. Lance Kramer is the Producer of the film The First Step. “In a divided America, Van Jones attempts to bring people together to pass a landmark criminal justice bill — and finds himself under fire from all sides.”
