Last week at a White House press conference, a reporter stood up for the First Amendment and the Fourth Estate by challenging White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders assertion that the press was the enemy and only told lies. Brian Karem (above), Washington correspondent for the Montgomery County Sentinel, a daily newspaper based in Rockville, Maryland will join Steve and Lew to elaborate on his point that in fact the members of the press work hard to get it right and are only doing their jobs — not trying to subvert the president as part of some convert political conspiracy.
Later, Lisa Gilbert, Vice President of Legislative Affairs for Public Citizen, the people’s lobbyist in Washington DC, will discuss the latest ethically questionable activities of the President and how Congress is proposing to hand over a big present to the financial services industry in the guise of a spending bill and at the expense of the rest of us.
