“There Is NOTHING like a Grateful Dead concert!”
This coming Monday, October 22nd, is my slot in the WSLR Fall ‘18 On-Air Membership Drive. I’m
looking forward to my guest, Michael Miller – “The Grateful Dude:”, joining me live in studio for some live
tunes, while I’m fortunate enough to back him up on bass. Please tune in to listen, and to support live local
community radio, and especially WSLR!

Thirteen version in the archive and very few reviews tells me again that this is a very under-listened-to
show. No reviews fpr this particular recording: These reviews are from others.
REVIEW: Syacuse 83
This show was off the chart as far as Trippy.
REVIEW: a great show from this era
This is the first of three carrier dome concerts in the 1983-5 period. They did not play in syracuse since. The
first set really cooks, then things settle down for the second set.
REVIEW: Dome sound issues
Unfortunately, the Carrier Dome is not the optimal place to have a concert. Especially when the band is the
GD. The acoustics are fair at best. There is a lack of musical intimacy.
Having said that this was a good show. I recommend it.
REVIEW: My first show.
The bus broke down, I got off, THAT’S where it all began for me. Caught a ride back to Scranton w some
farmer, borrowed a Monte Carlo, and packed 5 bus refugees into it, including my lil bro. Hauled ass to
Syracuse just in time for Shakedown St.
REVIEW: A gem-
This is a great show – just to note on the second set, the China->Rider really cooks as well and the Terrapin
they played is a gem in my opinion
REVIEW: show has spunk
enjoyed the entire show from excellent opening shakedown
REVIEW: This was my first show
And it still gives me chills.
Great quality, really well done.
REVIEW: The ‘Cuse is Loose
Awesome show… The big Dome was ROCKING back in ’83 in Upstate New York!!! There is nothing like
hanging out at Fall Shows in the Northeast during harvest season! This year’s Dead Reunion shows in Albany
are surely going to be a treat, no doubt!
