REVIEW: if you hear that same sweet song again then you’ll know why
possibly the hottest 3-night run, ANYWHERE……hats off to the tapers, too… god bless the archive.org and god
bless the grateful dead.

REVIEW: Dancin at the Greek
This Dancin>Bird Song is one of my absolute favorite one/two openers. Right up there with the 6-11-93 Jack
Straw>Foolish Heart(which I attended), and the Half Step-Jack Straw from 11-6-77. The Dancin is pure joy.
Brent is sparkling and Jerry is buzzing, my favorite 80s Dancin for sure. Drops right into a grate Bird Song with
Phil bombs galore, they dont come much finer than this folks. The rolling crash cymbals add to the crisp sound
of this one-time-only combo. Dont pass this one up folks. A must have in any collection. The rest of the show is
very well played with China>Rider and China Doll shining brightly. Phil and Brent seem to be having fun with
the Why Dont We Do It In the Road. “why dont we do it on the drums!” The only low point for me is Dont
Need Love, what that song was doing in the repertoire is a mystery to me. Jerry seems to agree cuz he walked
out on this tune a couple times. This show has a place in any serious GD collection.
5+ stars for PERFECT SBD! 5+ stars for Dancin>Bird Song. 4 stars for rest of show.

REVIEW: my first
My second tape after my Jerry band Music Mt tape broke my cherry. This is incredible and I still compare all
UJB to this one….

REVIEW: favorite Greek show
The show on the 13th tends to get the bulk of the praise from this run do, in part, to the Dark Star encore. Don’t
let that show overshadow this one. I saw most of the shows at the Greek in the 80s and have most of the
recordings. This warm afternoon gets my vote for the best one. The Dancing->Bird Song 1st set opener roars out
the gate and tells the listener that the band is fired up and ready to seriously play. The rest of the 1st set is just as
hot. The 2nd set is jaw-dropping good. If you want to turn a non-believer into a Deadhead, this is a good place
to start.

REVIEW: Great Show!
Again here is another 80’s show that 70’s Head’s need to listen to. I dare anyone to find a second set as well
played and as energetic as this one. China/Rider is amazing. On Audience tapes you can hear a “OH!” go over
the croud as the band jumps right into Playin. It’s just an amazing show start to finish. I wish I could have been
there. One thing I always wondered was what was going on after UJB? It sounded as though Jerry might have
been ready to split but Brent was persistant. I can hear his Don’t Need riff during the playing jam as well.

REVIEW: Hot Show
The opener was fantastic. Both sets. The whole show was great and the crowd energy was great. After this show
the crowd refused to let the standard multi show last night encore of brokedown be the last song played. The
only time I saw the band leave the stage and then come back for a 2nd encore.

REVIEW: Psycho Phil
He is a completely monster throughout this show – one of those nights where from the opening note throughout
the whole night, he’s just on fire.

REVIEW: great show
one hell of a show, the china doll is very trippy, beautiful, maybe china dolls best year as far as jam exploration
goes

REVIEW: Hot in many ways
What I remember the most about this show was the 104 degree temperature inside the venue. The concrete
theater was radiating heat everywhere…..including the band. Got to be the best opener I got to witness…..back to
back jam songs in “Dancin’ in the Streets” into “Bird Song”. The sound quality is as good as it gets.

REVIEW: Best of the 80’s
Simply the best fucking Dead show from the 1980’s! Toss in Dark Star from 1984-07-13 and you might just see
God!

REVIEW: Ramble On Rose
I love the way Brent and Phil sound on this version. And yes, the Bird Song is killer!!!

REVIEW: Holy Birdsong, Batman!!!
This show is RIPPIN’for two reasons: The entire band (which is rare) is absolutely on fire!!! Brent and Jerry
noodling togethere, Phil dropping bombs with the drummers, and bobby being bobby!

REVIEW: Great show even better time was had…
This was the solid show of the ’84 Greeks. Dark Star was the highlight of the series but this one was the total
show. I was front row Phil’s side. Man was it hot! We were baking in more than one way.

REVIEW: Bye Bye Sunday
Killer Dancin , Birdsong, China Cat-> Rider. China Doll and Brokedown are spine tinglers.
