CreArte Latino then Guardianship, this Wednesday, December 15, at 9am on Peace & Justice

Written by on Saturday, December 11, 2021

On Wednesday, December 15 at 9am, our guest will be Carolina Franco, the President of CreArte Latino. Carolina was unable to make our November 24 show. CreArte Latino was founded in 2012 as a creative hub for the Latino community in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. It now produces and performs an average of nine plays annually and collaborates with artists from Sarasota and throughout Latin America. In addition to scripted productions, the organization now hosts concerts with Latin artists as well as improvised theatre. Today, the organization’s board consists of local artists, theatre executives, and active members of the community.

At 9:30 you can hear all about guardianship on Justice Matters, our regular segment on the third Wednesday of each month from Legal Aid of Manasota.

On this episode, Legal Aid of Manasota CEO Linda Harradine and 12th Judicial Circuit Public Defender Larry Eger will be speaking to Boyer & Boyer attorney Slade V. Dukes. Linda, Larry and Slade will discuss guardianship—what it is, different types of guardianships (including Guardian Advocate), how the need for guardianship is determined, what the role of a guardian is, and who can act as a guardian.
