This Wednesday we’ll talk with two important political candidates. David Shapiro and Margaret Good.
David Shapiro is running for U.S. Congress against Vern Buchannan in Congressional district 16. He first faces two Democratic primary opponents on August 28 – Jan Schneider and Calen Cristiani.
Margaret Good won the December 5 primary against Ruta Jouniari, and is running for the District 72 Florida House of Representatives seat against James Buchannan, Vern Buchannan’s son. The election is February 13.
From Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner: Vote-by-mail ballots for the February 13, 2018 House District 72 Special Election will soon be in the mail to voters who have requests on file with the elections office.
More than 21,000 ballots are scheduled for mailing to domestic voters beginning January 9. Following these initial mailings, requests will be processed and ballots mailed on a daily basis.
