The Hermitage Artist Retreat and day one of the Fall Membership Drive! Peace & Justice Weds Oct 23 9am.
Written by Tom Walker on Sunday, October 20, 2019
This Wednesday we’ll talk in the studio to Bruce Rodgers, Executive Director of the Hermitage Artist Retreat. The Hermitage hosts artists on their Gulf-front Manasota Key campus for “escape-to-create” residencies. Some come to explore and experiment, some are on deadline or working on a commission. The idea is that artists require focused time to produce quality new work without external demands or expectations.
Bruce is retiring at the end of December after 15 years, and 11 years before that he was Associate Artistic Director of the Asolo. Read about him HERE. Their popular “Artful Lobster” event takes place on their campus November 9 from 11am – 2pm.
And our FALL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE starts this Wednesday! Bob and I will be asking you to call 941-894-6469 to become a member or renew your membership. There are new member benefits including free or reduced event tickets. Check them out HERE. And don’t forget to mention our show as one of your favorites. Just click “Radio News and Public Affairs Shows” and then on Peace & Justice.
Thanks so much!
