proof that the Midwest got it’s share of fine shows, tho I’m happy to have been 2 hrs from NYC & Philly. Love
the upbeat TLEO and the SugarMags also. Bobby is up a bit in the mix, which is very cool because he’s so
subtle you sometimes miss his finer moments. Very solid throughout: a fine HC Sunshine jam and a nice BT
Wind.

REVIEW: Where has this been hiding?
OK so there are some sound issues with this recording (listening to Cumberland right now and there is some
really horrible crackling going on or something) but this show has some serious energy. The Weather Report
Suite without question has to be one of the all-time best under-appreciated versions; some seriously awesome,
emotional jamming from Jerry.

Early first set seems like it doesn’t have all the instruments squared away yet the vocals are pristine. Credit to
DJG she is here doing everything a Female back-up singer was expected to do and more. From laying down
sweet harmonies to singing behind, with and in front of the main vocalists. She pulls off ‘YOU Ain’t Woman
enough’ and then some. Always like a strong independent sister! After checking in on the GD standards they
close Set One with a beautiful WRS. I think somebody left a backyard bug zapper near the mics. Second Set is
mighty fine. Not going to ride it again. Just say WOW! Some of Jerry’s vocals are in sacred ground territory The
Playin’ Reprise is fierce. How about those vocals for GDTRFB. Second Set is start/finish –‘R U Kind material’
