“Yesterday’s Dead Today”, Monday, January 23rd, 7-9pm Eastern

Written by on Sunday, January 22, 2023

I’ve seen thousands of reviews over the years, but this actually explains “A Deadhead”…
“REVIEW: stella
As a new fan of the Dead it was years before I realized the importance of the tears streaming down
the face of the girl beside me. She seemed to be having a religious experience. Now I know why”

SBD > TDK Audua cassettes
Transferred by Andrew F.

Considering how absolutely pristine this recording is, the history of restoration is staggering. This
is possibly one of the finest soundboards of Jerry I have ever heard.

From the uploader:
“Cassettes rescued from ebay, from the collection of Steve Brown (GD employee). Tapes were
marked “Steve Brown Sony 153SD” and “BR 153”. It appears these are SBD masters made on a
Sony TC-153SD, or at most they would be 1st-Gen MSR copies. The old TDK tapes were jammed
& running roughly, and were re-shelled for playback into late-80’s Maxell cases. A small section
of Tape #2 was fused together (got wet?) and had to be spliced out; along with the tape-flips,
these were patched with ID-4467.”
