I’ve seen thousands of reviews over the years, but this actually explains “A Deadhead”…
“REVIEW: stella
As a new fan of the Dead it was years before I realized the importance of the tears streaming down
the face of the girl beside me. She seemed to be having a religious experience. Now I know why”

REVIEW: the eclectic ragtime band
David Crosby once said that the Dead are an eclectic Ragtime band. This Foolish opener supports
this !I was with my buddy who was taping the show.My first and only Greek show.We just came
from the east cost.We saw S.P.A.C.,Oxford,Buckeye,Silver stadium.THIS SHOW BY FAR IS
THE HOT ONE FROM THAT SUMMER.VERY NICE FM,S ALSO FROM THIS
RUN.DOWNLOAD FOR THE FOOLISH AND THE LET IT GROW.THIS LET IT GROW IS
JUST F’N MONSTEROUS!!!!!!!

Fourteen versions in the Archive and almost no applicable reviews: These are of this recording:
REVIEW: thank you
good show great let it grow..2nd set opener with victum>crazy is also good

REVIEW: One of the best!
Recording sounds great…Foolish heart starts off a little slow, but then it really picks up. Great
first set with a strong Candyman and Victim. The end of the second set is the best. coming out of
space with GDTRFB is worth the download alone. The real treat is Believe it or Not (jerry’s
vocals at its absolute heart-breaking best), Throwing Stones, and NFA. After hearing this on GD
hour, I fell in love with this show. A lot of great jams, but a lot of great slower songs too.

REVIEW: Surprisingly excellent
Great show from a year that I tend to avoid. This show came highly recommended and I can saw
I was not disappointed at all.I happen to love Believe it or not and this is a powerful rendition
with Jerry giving it his all towards the end. What a treat that Blackbird is! The only down points
of this show is that completely flat Throwing Stones and Healy’s space-rodent vocal-effects
during GSET.

REVIEW: Great Great show!
Very solid playing. They were on this night. And what is it about Blackbird that makes Brent
crack up. He laughed so hard on the Alpine one as well.

These scant, applicable reviews are of other recordings:
REVIEW: u must
this is simply a rockin’ performance that must have been the ultimate treat to attend (well, the
whole run at the Greek for that matter)….AWESOME Foolish Heart to open (!) the show, tight
verions of GSET, BRiver, and Let it Grow…Althea is sweeeeeet, as is Candyman…the second set
is just non-stop energy, and it’s hard to pick out the highlights…I guess UJB, GDTRFB, and NFA
stick out the most (I foresee listeners pushing rewind many times), and Believe it or Not is
terrific…this is supreme ’88 perfection

REVIEW: Fu** Yeah!!!
This show rocks!!!!!!!!!! I just recently started to get into 80’s Dead. Man am I glad I did. This
show is a ripper! Every song is played very well and with such enthusiasm. A must DL!

REVIEW: Maybe it’s my mood
maybe it’s me. Maybe it’s the time of man. But I listen to a good number of these and I don’t hear
a 5 in this show. Good pieces and such. I definitely would have left the house stoked but I don’t
get the 5 feel from this. Beleive it or Not is a classic version of a seldom played tune. Worth it for
the feel of that song alone. Garcia’s voice was in lemon condition but he used this song to make
awesome lemonade.

REVIEW: Strong Opener
My favorite Foolish Heart–I sorta like Garcia’s voice-almost-there chokes, and the instrumentation is timeless.
The rest is a solid show.
