Say Her Name: Justice for Breonna – Thursday, August 13, 2-4pm

Written by on Wednesday, August 12, 2020

On August 13, 2020 radio stations across the country will unite to commemorate the life of Breonna Taylor and the many female victims of American police brutality.  This broadcast event coordinated by WXOX Louisville in collaboration with Breonna Taylor’s family will mark the five-month anniversary of Breonna’s passing.

In the words of Breonna’s aunt Bianca Austin, “Justice for Breonna means an end to police brutality and social injustice. We will not tolerate this any longer. The time is NOW!  Please be a part of the change and get involved”.

Tune in to WSLR on air at 96.5 or online on Thursday, August 13 at 2 PM eastern time to hear one of Breonna’s favorite songs and a message from her family dedicated to those who demand Justice and stand for Equality. The following two hours, from 2-4pm, WSLR will be playing music to honor Breonna and all the people that have been murdered due to the color of their skin.

Together we will SAY HER NAME as we work to cure the deadly epidemics of systematic racism and police brutality that plague black women nationwide.
