Is it bluegrass? Is it Roots, folk, jazz? Music lovers often get hung up on genre titles. Bluegrass Unrooted is about looking for the through lines in acoustic music - where it came from, what influences today’s musicians are borrowing from, and where it’s going. You’ll hear some traditional bluegrass from folks like Tony Rice, Doc Watson, and Norman Blake. But there will also be a lot of tunes unrooted from the past, pushing the boundaries, like the music of Billy Strings, Bèla Fleck, and AJ Lee & Blue Summit. And you’ll get a healthy dose of Roots music from artists who are even harder to classify, like Sierra Ferrell, Molly Tuttle, and Lindsay Lou. At the end of the day it’s about great acoustic (mostly!) Music. Call it whatever you like; I call it Bluegrass Unrooted.

Second Wind Seany G is the host of "Second Wind" and he plays a mix of old and new alternative and new wave music. He digs deep to find those oldies that haven't been heard on the radio for a long time from bands like Blondie, Television, DEVO and The Cars. He digs even deeper to find those songs that have that twitchy twangy beat that are hidden in classic bands like Spirit, Ten years After, Steve Miller and Neil Young. Yes, Neil Young with his album "Trans", along with others jumped on the new wave band wagon during the seventies and eighties. Seany G mixes it all up with the new alternative music like: Twenty-one Pilots, Gorillaz, St. Vincent and Marian Hill. So get your "Second Wind" on Tuesdays 2 - 4 pm with host Seany G. Archive
