“Yesterday’s Dead Today”, Monday, October 10th, 7-9pm Eastern

Written by on Sunday, October 9, 2022

I’ve seen thousands of reviews over the years, but this actually explains “A Deadhead”…
“REVIEW: stella
As a new fan of the Dead it was years before I realized the importance of the tears streaming down
the face of the girl beside me. She seemed to be having a religious experience. Now I know why”

The only review of this particular recording:
REVIEW: Best sounding source.
A very good show. In the top half dozen for the tour. A very good sounding, obviously fob
recording. I always thought the acoustics at Capital Center were pretty decent for a bigger arena.
There are a couple other good sources for this show, but I think this one sounds the best.

Reviews of other recordings:
REVIEW: great tor for the boys
first set was pretty sloppy, great help/slip/franklins/estimated/terrapin though that made up for
every thing!

REVIEW: First and last US shows
As a Brit deadhead we used to only get a visit from the boys every ten years or so… Wembley 72,
Ally Pally 74, Wembley 90 and so on. In 94′ my wife and I made it over to the US for the first
two nights at USAir and boy what a show this was. The pervious night we were both just stepped
jet-lagged to death and we lost our hire car in the lot after the show (what colour was it…hell if I
remember…we’d only picked it up 3 hours before at BWI). For this show we were slept, fed,
watered and ready to groove. Highlights for me…the extended tease from Jerry as he moved from
Help to Slipknot, but the whole of the second half is a dream with one of my favourite all time
Stella Blues. Sadly these two nights was the first and last times I saw the Dead in the US before
Jerry slipped over the line.

REVIEW: Thank you, for a real good time!
Cool show, good song selection. Sound quality here seems to change a few times. I drove down
from Pittsburgh after seeing Phish for the 1st time the night before. What a gorgeous autumn
drive it was! I’ve had sbd tapes of this show said to be made from patching into the venue’s audio
system, but I don’t know. This was a pretty solid show, I think my 3rd of 3 HSF’s and it was a
good one. Jerry sounds a little tired on Terrapin, but a good jam ensues. Space was pretty nice,
Phil goes off for a while! Post-Drumz was strong too. After the show, some guy in the lot got in
an empty golf cart & crashed right into a crowd of people like 10 feet away! This was one of the
few venues where I witnessed the police mounted on horses, like dozens of them here & there.
Crazy. Anyway, caught a few zzz’s at a rest stop going home & woke to another beautiful, frost
covered autumn wonderland.

REVIEW: Favorite Aiko Aiko!
Aiko Aiko is sooo good 🙂

REVIEW: Bobby Show
I mean: I’m not sure if I should say it, but this Eternity is really a nice excursion. Iko is string at
the top of the set, and Estimated hit the spot. Thanks for being.
