REVIEW: i was there!!!
i too find information on this show lacking. i was there though and can
confirm it was superb!!! fairly small venue and a fairly small but very
appreciative crowd. new riders opened with jerry and played a wonderful set!
pigpen was in great form! the whole show was more like a dance although i
do remember standing on chairs on the arena floor. excellent live sound
quality. i remember thinking at the time how great the band sounded live. the
cut in good lovin’ is due to curfew and much of the crowd left as the lights
were brought up too. some sort of deal was cut with the seattle cops and
about 20 minutes later the band fired up again and didn’t quit until almost
4:00 am. i got home at nearly 5:00 am. my parents were not thrilled… a great
show and a great memory!!!

REVIEW: NICE ’71 show!!!
Great show. I love the mixed up setlist!! A Big Lovelight love fest
throughout the 2nd set! Are you serious about that late night set!?!?!?
Are there any recordings of it. I’ve never seen or heard of it!?

REVIEW: What a show it was, I was there too!
NRPS Opened this show, and for some reasion the Dead was a bit late getting
on stage, which is most likely why the agreement was made between the SPD
and who ever, that allowed them to start up again. What a show! This was my
first of very many, and my first “surprise, your gonna be real high after
drinking all that” however, that surprise left in ingrained on just how good
Pig Pen could sound! He was perfect that night! This show has been
miss-dated in the past on many many sites, but this date is correct.

REVIEW: Deadbase shows 1/25/71
I checked deadbase and they show no 1/24/71
show. They do show a 1/25/71 show at this venue.
Could be due to the late nite nature of the gig.

REVIEW: Sizzling+
This whole show is incredible – Enjoy…

REVIEW: * * * * *
The clearest Sunshine Daydream I’ve heard in the last 33 years. Pigpen’s
Lovelight really shines, again and again. Blistering Not Fade Down the Road.

REVIEW: hard2handle
Some hot Pigpen here. Hard 2 Handle is incredible. I like how Bobby says
they are running over on time and they are going to finish up with this
number, then go on to play another half-hour. Good stuff.

REVIEW: 1st GD show
Twas my first Dead show 16 years old and straight as an arrow – marked me
for life. Ian and Sylvia were the openers followed by NRPS.

REVIEW: hidden gem
4 stars because the sound is a little distorted, but man oh man this is a Pigfest.
The From the start of Lovelight trough the end of the tape (and presumably
early into the morning, no tapes rolling), this thing just scorches. Some
special energy here.

REVIEW: first show
this was my first Dead show. Ian and Sylvia, New Riders, the acoustic set and
electric, went late into the night, the venue tried to stop them but Pig kept
going.

You, again, get the picture…
