Written by on Monday, July 10, 2017

Lalia Abdelaziz from fightforthefuture.org will talk with us about their missions, one of which  is to ensure that the web continues to hold freedom of expression and creativity at its core. “We seek to expand the internet’s transformative power for good, to preserve and enhance its capacity to enrich and empower. We envision a world where everyone can access the internet affordably, free of interference or censorship and with full privacy.”

And this Wednesday, July 12 is the Internet-Wide Day of Action to Save Net Neutrality to oppose the FCC’s plan to slash Title II, the legal foundation for net neutrality rules that protect online free speech and innovation. Twitter, Reddit, Netflix, Spotify, Dropbox, Amazon, Facebook, Google, Kickstarter, Etsy, Vimeo, Private Internet Access, Mozilla, OK Cupid, Imgur, PornHub, Medium, and hundreds of other major sites are also participating.

Also on the show will be Kathy Kelly of Voices for Creative Nonviolence talking about drones and other topics.

And Misha Eli Misha Eli, Director of Education of the Lovelight Arts + Yoga Festival talking about his upcoming Kirtan party at Fogartyville next Wednesday July 19 at 7pm.
