Solving the puzzle that is cancer has been an important priority of the medical community since forever. One recent breakthrough called the GPS Cancer test is helping doctors identify the specific type of cancer afflicting a patient and prescribing the most effective treatment. Joining Steve and Lew is oncologist Dr. Steven Mamus who has used this tool to effectively treat many patients and one of his patients, Lisa Vince, whose life was saved by the treatment. Health reporter Alix Remonde who first told this story will also be in the studio.
But first, Allegra Chapman (above) , director of voting and elections for Common Cause will fill us in on the ramifications of the recent decision by the Senate to deploy the “nuclear option” to get Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch confirmed over objections by Democrats.
